TCU would beat Bama.
Boise State would beat Florida.

Too bad the SEC teams get weaker teams to play in their bowls this year, thus protecting their images. College football is, after all, a sport where HYPE matters more than reality. In no other world would 'Bama crawl into the season after a blowout loss to the MWC champ, Texas crawl into the post-season with a lucky win over a so-so Nebraska squad, and both magically get voted ahead of the superior Horned Frogs.

Another year goes by with a worthless BCS title but no true National Champion. Too bad. We deserve better.

The SEC weakest school [vanderbilt] would beat 6 of the bs mountain west schools, so until the moutain west actually plays somebody, stop whinning. You think because utah beat a bama team that didnt want to be in the sugar bowl, that utah has done something. i wish tcu had the chance to play Bama , you would get the chance to see how bama rolls when there is something on the line, until then play somebody and stop whinning.

Maybe so...its just speculation.

That is why a playoff is needed.

And just in case you haven't noticed ED, this isn't last years Alabama team!

LMAO eldermars wat a fool you are. Yes the "great" Utah beat Bama LAST YEAR get over it. In a game in which if Bama won would have been so what they were supposed to win lose and its one of the biggest upsets ever. Remember Bama had just lost to the NC Florida Gators also from the SEC they couldnt care less about playing Utah. Skip ahead to this year the "great TCU beat Clemson by what 3 poinTs? middle of the road SEC team South Carolina smashed Clemson. The great BYU Gets smashed by 6-6 FSU. I love to see a 16 team playoff your final four teams would be BAMA FLORIDA LSU and Texas. Get a clue!!!

It really will be sad to see Alabama beat Texas, and for the 2nd best team in the nation to be contractually voted #1 falsely. College football fans are missing out big time.

Well, you can rest assured that would be the "minority" opinion.

The team you wish to thrust the national title upon has not won its bowl game either!

Eldermars is a joke, he knows nothing of football or he would not be spouting off such garbage. I thought barners had big dreams that could not be fulfilled, but mars takes it to a whole nother level. You can not honestly believe what you are trying to make us believe and if you do you need to wake up . Who has tcu played to make you think they could stay on the field with bama. Bama has beaten #1 florida, #4 virginia tech. #8 lsu, #15 mississippi, #24 south carolina, all rankings at the time bama played them. Who has the great tcu played, clemson and sqeaked by the skin of their teeth. Forget last year this a different bama team, with something on the line, not the glory of beating up on a weak mountain west team.

The top-ranked Crimson Tide had six players, including Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram, voted to The Associated Press All-America team released Tuesday— more than any other school.

The SEC was the most represented conference on the first team, with 11 players...

Utah proved last year how weak Alabama and the SEC are, and TCU has stepped things up another notch this season. The MWC remains stronger than the SEC at the top. Nothing has changed.

Maybe you like not being able to come to grips with the present, but this is not last year. Utah is not close to last year, TCU is better (by your own admission), and Bama is better than last year...and the SEC will prove (top to bottom) just what they are, in the Bowl games.
